Schizophrenic Patient Stabs Eniste and Mother in Kırıkkale

The incident took place in a single-story detached house on Egemenlik Street in the Kimeski District. According to the information obtained, in the evening hours, a schizophrenic patient C.T. (36) argued with his mother Döndü T. (56) and his brother-in-law Mehmet Topak (48) for unknown reasons.

As the argument escalated, C.T. stabbed his brother-in-law Mehmet Topak in the throat and back with a knife he took from the kitchen. Then, he stabbed his mother in the abdomen and head before fleeing the scene.

Upon the notification, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. In the examination conducted by the health teams, it was determined that Mehmet Topak, a retired specialist sergeant, died at the scene. Döndü T., who was seriously injured, was taken to Yüksek İhtisas Hospital by ambulance. The woman, who was stabbed in the head and abdomen, is receiving treatment in the intensive care unit.

The suspect, who fled with his brother-in-law’s vehicle after the incident, was quickly apprehended and taken into custody as a result of the joint operation of the police and gendarmerie teams. After the crime scene investigation, Mehmet Topak’s body was sent to the Kırıkkale Forensic Medicine Institute.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
